last Friday night at Bliss with Lathams. . Steven's burger was bigger than his hand!!

Sat at Lovejoys for lunch before I headed to
Coos bay to the Youth dance. . this tea house was NOT our
idea of a good time. . heheh. .but i had a gift card from work. .

My new shoes and sweater from sat.'s trip to Ross!! 6.99 shoes baby!!

Then it snowed on Monday. . WHAT???

We had Taylor for a bit on Tues cuz Steven couldnt work, too much snow!! ah!!

Here with my Christmas flower. . and then Wed we had hurricane force winds
..see what it did to my roof??? NICE!! 112 mph in Charleston, 109 in Yachats and
93 at Sea lion Caves. . .we had sustained wind of 40-50 with gusts of 85 easily!!

Damage shots. . I was off most of the day and dad was off the whole day. . he went
to work, but the guys couldnt stand up the wind was so strong!
They couldnt keep their hats on even!!!

Luell had a flat and and Steve come fix it. . road side service !!
Someone had a tree fall on his truck on 35th st and it killed him!!
Bad day all around. . .

We had the first really big storm we've had this month today. . HOLY winds and rain
batman!!
So this the the parking lot of work. See the red car? thats Jodi's. . the company
truck is usually parked out there by her car. When I left work the tonight
the truck was over by Marji's car. . you never know where Rob will leave
a rig.

See Marji's car and the truck? Remember where the truck was and where I
park my car??? Rob came in the office the next day and asked if I
saw where the truck was...yeah. "I must have forgotten to put it in gear!"
I dont know what was more awesome, the fact that wind had blown it across the parking lot,
or that he just calmly wonders in and makes that REALLY statement!! OMH!!
Good thing there were bumper guards or it would have gone into
the ditch!! Bahahaha. . . .

I think this is Taylor on the front cover of the Siuslaw News. .
so I wanted to share. If its not, pretend that it is..HA!!

Taylor came over Christmas day around 200, and she opened her gifts that were here.
And we opened the ones that she gave us. .

SIDE NOTE. . my dryer died on Sat. and Steven didnt think it was
fixable, so we got new a new one, and to make the washer feel
nice about itself, we got a new one of those two!
Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday and Easter and whatever else for a bit..
hehehe!

We had Taylor for a bit on Thursday and we went to McD's for dinner.
Tay and Steven wore their Christmas hats. .and this fella cam up to them
and said "People dont show the spirit of the season enough, and when someone does,
it needs rewarded". . and gave them each 20.00!! CAN YOU
BELIEVE THAT??

Pinky and Steve and Steven and I went to International with ACN this weekend in
San Diego. . it was pretty awesome again.. . learned lots, had great meetings and
the men saw first hand the wonders of traveling with women!! HA!! It was crazy. .
but totally cool! These are only some of the pics we got, but my camera died
before I was done with pics..AHHHHH. . and the rest are on Pinkys. .so hopefully
they will get downloaded some time soon. . .then i will share.

We got Taylor Thursday night and to celebrate Thanksgiving with her,
Steven took her out on the dunes Friday while I was at work. After work, we went to
Reedsport to Cash King for soda, came home in time to go to the movies, Arthur Christmas
was playing. Then we came home to leftovers and Hallmark
movies..and early bed, cuz tomorrow we are going to the football game.
We left teh house at 730 for Cottage Grove, Siuslaw is in the semi final playoffs for
state!!

We met up with Toni and Harry inline, and sat with them too... we had
a great time! LOVE football. . even if this was our first game of the year, hehe.

Nick is number 66. . he's JV, but got to dress down with team.
Loved the new mascot.. what a great Viking!!

WE WON!!!!

Then it wa off to Build A Bear for Taylor to spend her birthday cash. .
She was pretty excited to get there after hours of football!!

Then an early dinner at Chili's and a little Walmart looking around and our day was done.
I guess our life is an adventure, huh Tay??

Madi gave me this framed page of the Star Spangled Banner
for Christmas last year, and I finally got it when we went to Texas.
I love it and it goes with my decor perfectly!

night when Steven and I were at DQ for dinner. .

We made these envelopes at YW on Wed. They were fun and
easy to make and then the girls wrote letters to missionaries.

Conference Sat, Steve is working..Taylor and I are at the Bell between sessions.
We are going to the movies at 300 if Steve gets home soon
enough.

Steve did, we did, and so did Kim and her girls. The Clements just adopted another
little girl, 6 week old Slone. . We saw the new Dolphin Tail flick. . GREAT for
family video!!!

Taylor received a reward at school, it was a free dessert from
Mo's, so we went there for dinner. . yummy blackened cod san. .
Steve had oysters. . Tay had shrimp.

We had dinner at Bliss again, this time for Steve's birthday. We had some fun food..
the guys got burgers, and I had a Caesar salad. . one of the biggest things I've
ever seen!! HA!

Tay's first flag football game was Wed. night. She is the only girl
on any of the teams. . and doesnt seem to notice it!
Ha, she scored a TD even!! We had a great time, then headed to YW after,
and Steve and Tay went to DQ. .

International ACN in Charlotte NC

We left Portland at 1100 pm Wed night and landed in Ga. around 330am
our time and then reboarded and landed in NC at 930 eastern time. .

Watched Secretariat on the longest of the two flights. .
we had a a great time trying to get the headphones to
work, Pinky and I ended up sharing phones, each got one ear!! hehe

Car ride in Charlotte. . 29.00 for a 20 minute ride!!

The Blake. . our room was on the 7th floor. .

Walking to the conference center, we saw and walked by most of the
downtown city buildings. .

Pinky and I went on a tour of ACN headquarters. . Luell and Kathy already
had done it the last time they were in Charlotte. . this is out driver, Bill.

pork for Pinky and Luell, It took a 25.00 cab ride on our lunch hour,
with a cab driver who was Muslem. . he was pretty
freaked out about the pork. . I got fried dill pickles. . it was NC
cooking and southern bbq flare.

Its been a week since we we got back from our ACN business trip to North
Carolina. .Charlotte was amazing, the convention was amazing, and we had a
wonderful time. We left Charlotte on Sunday afternoon and had a layover in
Newark New Jersey!! How cool is that?? Never been there, or for that matter, that far east.
We landed and as we were looking out the window, we saw the New York skyline!
I never knew you could see it from NJ. . never thought about it even. . till we spotted the
Empire State building!! And then it hit us all about the same time. . the towers would
have been there, they SHOULD have been there. .and it was 9/11 ten years later.
It was a sobering moment. .we were all thinking about that day when the towers fell..
where we were, what we were doing. . and how things have changed. And yet they
are still the same. . we are still free, we are still living in the best country on earth,
we still believe in God and our future.. we just feel more passionate about it now than ever!!

Nashville Tribute Band Fireside

These fellas from Nashville are all members, mostly return missionaries even, and they have
day jobs making, writing and producing music. On their own time, they
have this band. . dedicated to the Savior and the Gospel! Jason Deere
is the ring leader, and he is awesome.
They are soooo amazing!! We saw them for the first time at TOFW two years ago. .
so we knew we were in for a great night. . and they didnt disappoint!
They have a facebook page and you can google them to get a sample of their music. .
but I warn you, its addictive!!
The Gospel is true and these guys KNOW it!!

This weekend was Steve and my 40th reunion from high school!!
Holy Cow Martha!! We went to the high school informal gathering on Sat.
to meet and say HI to a few. .they took a pic for the paper. . we were the 1st
graduating class from the then brand new high school!!
This is us with Rocky and his wife, Camille. Rocky and his first wife were our neighbors when
Bethany was born. .

The Smurf's was playing and so we went! It was alot better than I thought
it would be, it was a great family flick!
Since it was the premier showing for Florence, they were having
lots of free things to give to the movie goers. . Tay got a poster, stickers,
an activity book and a Papa Smurf doll!! She was in smurf heaven!!
