Pioneer Woman In The Pacific Northwest

We went, we saw, we had a ball!! I have photos on Sue's camera but her memory card won't work in my camera. . and I can't download them!! AHHHH !! Madi is going to try and get them on her machine for me today. . so you can enjoy what the FUN we had last night!

Ree Drummond was in the area last night, and I had looked into going over a month ago. . and Monday was the day! Pinky and I and Luell left here and picked up Sue in Eugene( she had taken our mom to the doctor with her Steve), so we grabbed her at Target and then headed to Corvallis to get Stephanie, Pinky's daughter. Then it was off to the book signing!! We waited from 4:45 till 9:30 to get our's signed. . but it was so much fun waiting and chatting and mingling with other bloggers and PW fans.

What a gracious and really just nice woman she is!! We got our photo taken with her, and I can't wait to post it for ya! We all got our books signed and even had Ree's oldest daughter Alex sign a page with her picture. . and had a nice visit with Marlboro man's mother. . what a sweet lady! They loved it here in Northwest. . and I even remember to take along some copies on the Oregon Coast Magazine to share with them. She said they would read them on the plane. . they are not big flyers, so the distraction would be welcome!

We just had a wonderful time. After the signing, we went to Baja Fresh for a really LATE dinner and then headed home. Late night, lots of laughter, lots of stopping to potty. . lots of memories.
Thanks PW for the adventure!!

Jobs Forum For Jay

The Flo Bo team put on this jobs forum for Jay...they asked questions to Jay that could help Florence and Lane county. It was pretty informative..and we had a fun time too.

The panel had Lac representing contractors..and other business folks...

Flag Waving Rally

We had another rally on Saturday morning, and I had Taylor for the day, so she and Ella came with me to help out. Steven was watching Lily, she was napping, so Madi could go to the thrift stores. .

the little girls were thrilled with all the dogs/puppies that were in attendance!

Love these new signs!

Pinky. . here, and two of the Steves below!

He Is Risen...

Sat afternoon taking Taylor back home after a few hours of fun with the cousins.

These are Easter rolls. . they represent the tomb.
When you open them, they are hollow inside, symbolizing that the Savior is risen, and that the tomb was empty that day. I tried to teach Ella the concept, told her the story and then we open a roll, and she looked inside and said " Yep, Jesus isn't in there!" I think she kinda got the idea!!

Not So Much

We've had sick people in our house as of late. . Ella was first for a few days. .throwing up and the poops. Lily started in on Sunday night with numerous boughts of heaving, and then yesterday, the poops joined in!! Madi was puny on Monday along with Lily, thank goodness Ella is better, but (Madi) she was out for the count but still alive last night! Today, they all three are up and moving..with little to no after effects, depending on whom we are talking about! HA. . Madi got one day to be sick, thats about the norm for a mom. . and Lily is too busy to be unwell...and Ella has school today. Steven and I seem to be ok so far. . Terry is getting a cold, but no extreme signs so far!

So thats the fun for the Winona household to date. . .more to come. I do have some pics to post, maybe tonight ( last night i was holding Lily all afternmoon and evening. . i know, tough duty!)

Easter Saturday

General Conference started this morning. . the Prophet's talk was funny and light hearted. .so that gives me extra hope!! One of the talks this morning quoted Pres. Hinkley. . "Learn what you should learn, do what you should do, be who you should to be." I love that..lots of instruction on personal revelation, worthiness and the priesthood. We weren't as successful at seeing all of the afternoon session because of the stuff we wanted to do, but we recorded what we missed and saw the last hour. . I love Henry Ering!. And Jeffery Holland is always good..and porn must still be a great big problem in the church. . cuz again we had a talk about it.

Ella was up early and ready for what the bunny had brought her, Lily, not so much. It took her awhile to wake up. . and enjoy the spoils.

When she finally did, she was thrilled with her blanket and a Lyndt chocolate bunny! MMM. . smart child! They both got Littlest Pet Shop toys, Fred's was having a 50% off sale!

So after the first session, we headed to Woahink to get some pics of the rally for the candidates running for office..and to get more signs for the front yard! MERCY was it raining hard!

The we were off to Fred Meyers to color bunny ears
and try and win a cake! Ha, but the girls had fun, I think.

The ears look more like donkey ears then bunny ones!..Made me smile!

Cake walk. .

As we were coming home, we spotted the three Steves putting out
Jay signs. . they had to make the frames first and then hammer them in place!

thats Steven's truck in the top pic and thats a Jay sign in the bottom one. .

the steve's truck and last stop to put out a sign!

Back home and time to eat some candy. . this was Tay's rubber duckie. . it looked just like a real rubber duck! It freaked Ella out a little I think, but Tay went right for it! Ha

Lily in papa's hat. . and in the fireplace!

And now its late afternoon, Steve's at priesthood session and Madi is at town and Tay and I are watching the New Moon movie. . the babies are both sleeping. . and we even managed to get in time on the Elliptical..sweet!
