This weekend is Rhody weekend and it starts on Thursday for us with a trip to the Carnival for Ella, another one with Taylor on Friday, parades on Sat. and Sunday and lots of things to see and do. . . and sunshine is expected!!! I have great pics to share. . .I'm working on that..check back tomorrow!!
This weekend is also Stake Conference and I had leadership meeting on Sat. in Coos Bay. We had a wonderful meeting and I love the Primary organization. . having to leave home on Rhody Sat. is always a struggle, but Sister Nelson assured us that we were blessed for our sacrifice in being obedient. . and I know thats true. Bethany made me this terrific handout with my favorite scripture on it, and it just happened to be our meeting scripture! Love it when that happens. . I can post that for you here.
After the meetings were over, I headed home and found everyone sunburned and not wanting more sunshine...and I wanted SOME at least. . . or well, next time! It was HOT at our house on Sat. and we dont have that much around here. We had a lazy evening and came to a family decision that we would not attend Stake Conference on Sunday because we have and have had the plague at our house for about two weeks now. Colds with coughs and runny noses and wheepy eyes and no one is getting any sleep and you know the routine! So rather than expose the whole Oregon Coast to it, we stayed home.
And yes, we did go to the parade. . .and the sunshine baked some of that snot out of us!! Ha! I think vitamin D comes in sunshine. . .it felt really good anyway. . . and we had a family time with my sister and her family and GM Ida came too. We then spent the rest of the day like any other Sunday, resting and playing with babies!! I have pics and movies that I will try and post tonight. ... so check back soon.
