Mavis went into the hospital last Sunday I think,

and she wasnt really too pleased to still be there today.

She was her old quick whitted self, she and Steven

were cracking jokes about her bowels. . .if you get the drift!

They are just alike!! HA. She had exploritory surgery and

they found nothing of concern. . they said she was doing

better today then yesterday. . so thats a good sign. Steven gave her

a blessing and she was really pleased with him.

Steven Found A Book. .

I borrowed The Lone Survivor from a fella at work, but was having a hard time getting into it. I was reading The 5000 Leap at the same time, so both were getting little play time. . .and then Madi came to visit. . .and they both made the top shelf. . for safe keeping. Six or seven weeks later, I took them off the safe shelf, and Steven found Marcus's story, and has been reading it for a few days now. This a a big deal, cuz we just got direct tv and a few free movie channels and he's not even turning the tv on!!! HA, the power of a good book!! We'll do a book review when he's done.

This morning, Steven and I went to Fred's for lightbulbs, and they have a new deli/bakery area, and I found these beautiful pastries and had to get a pic to share!! Check out how pretty the fruit cups are!!

They have chocolate cups, and the "cups" of cocoa next to them are chocolate too, filled with cake!! AND yes, those are gourmet dipped apples!! Mercy, what lovely food!!

Then this afternoon, we went to the movies with Sue and Steve to see Night at The Museum. . it was a lot of fun! Good family flick!

Glenn Beck's Common Sense Tour

Yeah, we're here! It was a sold out showing!

Steven and I and Pinky and Luell went to see Glenn's stage show in Springfield tonight, another simucast. . this one another comedy. . "Common Sense" what an amazing night! Glenn was funny and insightful and entertaining and it was such an educational event. We learned about Paul Revere and George Washington. . we heard more about Glenn's bout on the View. . he talked about being Americans and not just Rep. or Dem. We had a lesson in how freedom is lost if we give into too much gov or too much anarchy. . . it was just a plane old fun time!!

Glenn in his colonial spot. . no zippers or pockets. . he wasnt too impressed with the living standards of that time. . .but was amazed by the courage and determination of our founding fathers.
